crescent island

During our trip to Kenya, we visited a magical place known as Crescent Island and located among the waters of Lake Naivasha. From the moment you step foot on Crescent Island, it feels otherworldly. Giraffe roam freely across the land, and their magnitude as seen on foot is otherwise incomprehensible. Their graceful stride is deceivingly quick, and with a few effortless steps they advance clear across the island and disappear into the mist on the horizon. They stand taller than the trees, and look almost as if they are superimposed onto the landscape. An etherial glow casts its soft light across the island, illuminating the soft watery mist on the horizon and such species caressing the landscape such as giraffe , impala, zebra, wildebeest and vervet monkeys. This is a spectacular place on earth.
